Something Different in NYC

Something Different in NYC

Holy crap! It’s hard to believe how quickly time passes sometimes. It’s already been six months since we went to NYC for an amazing event by an amazing group that we love. It was Above & Beyond’s 100th Group Therapy show, and it was easily one of the best nights of my life. It’s hard to believe it’s already been almost six months since we were there, in the front row, at Madison Square Garden. It’s even harder to believe that we are in the video on multiple occasions. In honor of their 150th Group Therapy show announcement (congrats Sydney, Australia!) I just wanted to put the video up as something different. Enjoy!

Here’s the live stream of the show:

Aside from the awesome music, we had a great time sprinting around the city for a day and a half! Some highlights: we stayed at the fantastic art deco New Yorker Hotel just across the street from the Garden. Our “room with a view” was a room with a view of the McDonalds across the street. I guess it was better than facing an alleyway! We visited 30 Rock, Central Park, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We ate bagels, pizza, and everything else we could get our hands on. Spenser had a guy fall asleep on him in the subway, and we visited art galleries with old friends. Despite the sadness that bookended the weekend, we had a wonderful 3 days exploring the city and experiencing such amazing Group Therapy with Above & Beyond and 13,000 of our best friends.

Honestly, I wish I had better pictures from the trip, but it was such an emotional whirlwhind that I only got a few on my phone… Oh well, we’ll just have to go back!
